tokensift
Terms and limitations
tokensift is a developer utility for preparing debugging prompts. It is not a security scanner, exact tokenizer, automated code fixer, or guarantee of correctness.
Use responsibly
Only paste logs that you are authorized to process and store. On the backend-hosted deployment, Sift submissions are stored by tokensift, so remove secrets, customer data, private source code, and internal-only URLs before using the tool. Review every cleaned prompt before sharing it with an LLM, teammate, public issue, or vendor.
Best-effort redaction
Secret redaction is deterministic and pattern-based. It can miss project-specific credentials, customer data, internal hostnames, private paths, or proprietary code. You remain responsible for reviewing output.
Parser limitations
The parsers preserve common root-cause signals for Python, CUDA/PyTorch OOM, TypeScript/npm/Vite/Next.js, Docker, pytest, and generic terminal logs. They may fold context that later matters.
No professional advice
tokensift does not provide legal, compliance, security, or operational advice. Validate fixes in your own environment.
